Chandigarh December 19: (zeeharyana.com/Sunita Sharma) Haryana Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Lal directed all the Deputy Commissioners (DCs) and Superintendent of Police (SPs) in the State to ensure free and fair conduct of Haryana Teachers Eligibility Test (HTET) -2017 scheduled to be held on December 23 and December 24, 2017.
Mr Manohar Lal was addressing the DCs and SPs of all districts through Video Conferencing here today.
The Chief Minister said that over four lakh candidates are participating in the exams and directed the officers concerned to make adequate arrangement of police personnel so as to ensure peaceful and fair conduct of exams. Describing HTET as a tool to gauge the competency level of the candidates, he urged the students not to use any type of unfair means as only the talented teachers could form a strong base for quality education.
Chairman, Board of School Education, Bhiwani, Dr Jagbir Singh said that HTET level-III examination would be held on December 23, 2017 from 3 to 5:30 pm whereas, level-II examination would be held from 10 am to 12:30 pm on December 24 and level-I examination from 3 to 5:30 pm on the same day. He said that 4,45,966 candidates are participating in the exam and 342 flying squads have been constituted for the free and fair conduct of exams.
Dr Jagbir Singh said that frisking of all candidates would be done before entering into the examination centre. Apart from this, Aadhaar based bio-metric attendance of the candidates would also be made. Also, CCTV cameras would be installed in all the rooms so as to keep an eye on the cases of unfair means, he added.
Among those present on this occasion included Education Minister, Mr Ram Bilas Sharma, Finance Minister, Capt Abhimanyu, Chief Secretary, Mr D.S Dhesi, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister, Mr Rajesh Khullar and other senior officers of the State Government.
